You’ve probably seen a slew of commercials on television or online for interesting cruise itineraries and thought that selecting one would be very easy. Just hit the purchase button or make a quick 1-800 call, right? Wrong. The truth is that there are many elements that can make or break a cruise vacation for you. That is why you need my guidance. I can help you choose the cruise line, cabin and excursions that will best match your traveling style and personality.

I can also show you new cruising products that you might not be aware of. Recently, the cruising industry has been working extremely hard to attract new clients. For example, some cruise lines now offer:

• Itineraries designed to appeal to Millennials or anyone who is young at heart. These cruises may boast such amenities as onboard breweries or offer more active excursions — think cycling tours of cities.
• New ports. Some ships are stopping in off-the-beaten-path destinations, such as Western Greenland or Cuba.
• More onboard attractions. On some ships, you’ll even find go-kart tracks, wave machines for surfing and climbing walls.

Personally, I love cruising. In fact, one of the main reasons I became a travel agent was so I could share my love for cruising with others. I wanted to use my personal experiences as well as my expertise as a CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) member to ensure that my clients would get the best cabin on the best ship for their needs and desires.

A cruise is also the perfect choice for a multi-generational vacation since most ships typically offer a variety of entertainment and activity options suitable for all ages. My own extended family — which includes my beloved 4-year-old and 15-month-old nieces — loves to cruise, especially with Disney Cruise Lines.
